I Ride: 2015 Ninja ZX6R 636
Just bought 2015 Ninja 636 ZX-6R

I've been wanting a bike for a long time and just finally today purchased a 2015 Ninja 636 with 0 miles on it. I should be able to pick it up by next week tuesday. First mods will be fender eliminator, Two Brothers black series exhaust, and probably smoked windshield. I'll update with more pics when I actually bring it home!

I am new to this forum, but not to automotive forums. I am also not new to fast vehicles, or being hands on with vehicles. I have previously built an 03 Mustang Cobra from top to bottom. This is my first bike, and I will be leaving the dealership with a good helmet. I do realize bikes are different than something with four wheels, however I grew up with ATV's and have ridden a Yamaha R6 in the past as well.

Welcome. How about we see pics of the terminator and by top to bottom are you just talking full bolt on or motor work? You still have your irs in the rear? Or did you change that as well?

It started as a 2003 GT. I did everything but build the internals of the motor. I put together the rest of the motor (heads, intake, etc) installed the motor, T56 6-speed, full exhaust including stainless LT headers, SRA replaced with IRS, tubular K member with coil-overs, fuel system, etc. It is since sold

As your first bike, I'd recommend taking a MSF course, if you haven't already. Lots of excellent skills to be learned. A 600 super sport is totally doable as a first bike, but be mindful of how the power comes on. Below 8k or so, it'll be pretty docile. Get above 8k, and things start getting...interesting. So, be mindful of your right hand, and keep the revs down until you get familiar with the handling, and dynamics of riding a motorcycle. Fast bikes are a WORLD of difference from fast cars.

Finally, make sure you do all the required maintenance. A properly running bike is a reward unto itself.

Agree. I'm not leaving the dealership with that ugly thing on the bike. It'll have the Yoshi eliminator on it by the dealership when I pick her up

Congrats, but what is the deal with so many beginners getting a Two Brothers exhaust when they get a new bike? One of the worst exhausts...
