^^lovely photos and thanks for posting them. Looking over that pristine bike of yours..... wow. The only change I would suggest, is to replace the front brake lines with jacketed lines. The difference in feel and power that you can apply is significant, especially if the lines on there are the OEM units....
Agreed, ordering a set of HEL lines front and rear (rear already has a Goodridge hose but I'm changing to a more discreet finish and want it to match) and a fluid flush with some fresh DOT 4.
You had better treat her right. The bike and the wife. Beautiful pics and bike. Keep the pics coming.....
Both are well looked after and the favor will be returned when she turns 30 and gets her dream holiday to NYC
Aye, good on ya, lad. You've got yerself a bonnie loverly sweetheart. You best keep her around for at least one day after you die... 'cuz you massively need that woman. Wives can make/break bike ownership. Best-o-luck, mate.
You ZX is an absolute classic. A real stunner, it'iz. I feel your pain the roads around my house have about 4"-5" (101.60mm-127.00mm). Brilliant sunshine, reminds me a wee bit like Alberta, Montana, etc. Fortunately the snow will be gone sometime Mon. or Tue., but then there's the poxy gravel they lay down in these parts.
Welcome aboard, glad to have a Scot on deck.
for a 14 year old bike she is mint, plan on restoring her bit by bit over the years to better than showroom condition with a few very discreet upgrades.
This winter however the list of jobs is minor: new paddock bobbins, replace aftermarket hugger with OEM chain guard, service with upgraded filters (maybe some iridium plugs aswell), HEL lines, brake fluid flush with new DOT 4 & change to clear indicators rather than the bright orange.
there is obviously a more extensive list for the coming years haha.
