Good luck with the wait..... I haven't missed riding within a month, in quite a long time.
Remember, when you DO get to start riding again that the conditions on the roads are not the same as when you last rode. Lots of dirt and sand in the corners early in the season. Walk on eggshells, until you are sure of the conditions. More heavily traveled roads will have the tires of the vehicles clear off the grit sooner than less traveled ones.
As you go through a corner, it's common for people to cross through both sets of tire tracks in a lane. Best to plan on keeping to one or the other in a turn unless you KNOW it's free of debris.
Thanks for the heads up, i don't plan on taking it out until they get the street sweepers out on all the roads anyway. With the amount of salt they lay down here it will just wreck everything. On the plus side i have a few mods I'd like to get done before riding anyway.
Yeah like these guys said just go easy early in the season. Not sure how long you've been riding, but I lowsided early in my riding career on an early day when I hit some sand in a corner and had to brake for a deer.
Too bad it happened then, I definitely could have saved it easily with my experience now. Oh well!
Ya I been ridding dirt bikes pretty well my whole life but don't worry I know that street bikes are a whole new animal. Should be able to get some decent rides in this year though. Really happy with the bike so far!
