My name is Jaime, 23, from New Jersey. I just bought a 2017 zx6r yesterday. Had the ninja 300 for a bit but decided it was time for an upgrade ☺ I assume my first purchases for it will be the fender elimintator kit & an exhaust if you would share your favorites with me? Thank ya, nice to meet y'all ??
Lol I've been looking at two bros as we speak, so that could definitely be an option. Really just trying to cut some weight on the bike & make it louder (but not insane). I live in Pemberton, we've got a lot of deer out here so I want to scare them away lol price range, nothing crazy. $5-600 ish
Well i had an M4 Street slayer, Vance and Hines, and my Leo Vince that i rock now on my 2015 ZX-6R and the Vance was OBNOXIOUS and the M4 Street slayer wasn't my cup of tea either. I'm doing a Leo Vince full system for performance gains and a nice sound too. It wont break the sound barrier or anything but i love the look and i wanted to be different. Not a lot of people do the Leo. As for the Two bros they are like the Graves, M4GP and M4 Street Slayer. All them shorty pipes have quite a bit of sound from them with some slight differences in tone. It just depends on what you're after like Pinoy said above. You tube videos never really do justice as hearing them in person makes the video look like utter rubbish. Another cheap modification i would do to your bike is order two more front fender bolts and unscrew those orange reflectors. The bolts are like less than 2 bucks a piece and they will really clean up that fender quite a bit. Welcome to the club! Ride safe!
Wel-come. Pics dude. I want to see the 2017 in that white/silver scheme. Local shop is meant to be getting a ZX10R in that colour offering. Can't wait.
Is there a way to post pics of it on here from my phone? Cause I'm not really seeing an option for that lol but thank you guys for all the input, much appreciated ✊?
I have a two brothers s1r slip on on my 2012 and I have no complaints. It has a nice low sound and is loud but I don't find it too obnoxious (this is just my opinion haha). Also nice bike!
Lol my boyfriend owns a powder coating company, taking off the wheels today actually. But not white, doing a fluorescent pink to match my helmet. I'm sure you all won't support that lmao
Tell your boyfriend to hook us up with some powdercoating. I bet a lotta people on here would be interested.
Anyway, that bike looks like it has too much white going on in the center area. I think a pink Ninja or Kawasaki sticker on the tank would match well with the pink wheels.
Well I see you're in Cali and we're in NJ lol so shipping might automatically put his price over one of your local shops but sure if ya have any questions for him just let me know :smile
I run a window tinting & vehicle wrap business so I'm playing around with some pink vinyl to drop over all the green accents. I'm thinking all the white with just the subtle small pink accents will be enough with how bright the wheels are going to be. But who knows, I'll be playing around with it more once I see what the wheels look like on it
I never understood the people that powder coat their wheels white. They're only going to be white until they get put on the bike, then it's game over and look like crap.
But then again I don't like white on cars and bikes in general, not just wheels lol
Well, they do stay white longer than youd think. I did mine with spray paint and even when they get dirty it still looks white. If u hit it with some cleaning sprays and hit it with some high pressure water it cleans up pretty good.
Nice bike...I was looking into powder coating my wheels as well but green. How much does your boyfriends shop charge if you don't mind me asking i'm from jersey too so don't mind taking the ride there :devilish
Nice. I should setup my white ninja like that. My wife would love it for her.
