New 03 ZX6R owner needing help

Alright hey friends I am hoping someone will be able to help me with a few issues or at least steer me in the right direction so bear with me. so I just purchased an 03 zx6r for my first bike has about 25xxx miles on it looks really good but has been down once. I do not know much about bikes I just know what google has told me and thats how i made what i think was a pretty good purchase. so my first issue that I cant figure out is why only one of the HID headlights on the bike works when the brights are not on. in order for me to get em both to work I have to turn on the brights?

My next question is the integrated tailights the previous owner had installed, my left blink does not work. is that something I can just fix by getting a new bulb or does the whole thing have to be replaced?

My last question is has anyone else experienced not being able to shift into neutral? like ill be riding and everything will be fine shifting as normal no problem i get off my bike for 10 minutes or so and come back and my bike will not acknowledge neutral, i will be in neutral and it will not show the green light, making it unable for me to start my bike, ill have to keep doing it for awhile until i get lucky and it pops on. that only happens when I have been riding never when I first start my bike. Also i can be out riding come to a stop try to shift in neutral and it just wont show the light while i am in that gear. if someone could help me id really appreciate it!!!

Never had lights on this bike. (track bike) My tiger has an H7 for low and H9 for high beam. It's normal when the bike doesn't have the High beam on that only one side is illuminated.

Confirm the left blinker wire is connected, might put a meter on it and see if it pluses 12v. All the integrated tail lights are led I've seen not a single bulb which makes me think it's a wire.

Wondering if you have a neutral switch issue along with a clutch switch problem.

These bikes are designed with one side low beam, one side high beam. Looks kinda funky I know....but thats normal.

Your taillight....since its integrated it is most likely a LED unit and not a bulb that can be replaced. I would check the wiring connections on that one. Something most likely came loose.

The neutral light working intermittently, theres a sensor which detects it. It either needs adjustment or has a bad wire connection. Let me find a pic of it for u.

Here u go....I found a nice detailed write up about the neutral switch.

Neutral Safety Switch Repair Instructions (with pics) - Sportbikes.net

^^^Thats actually for an older bike. For your bike you will also need to remove the front sprocket cover to see the switch. Heres a pic:

Hello and welcome!

When you are trying to shift into neutral, are you at a complete stop, or is the bike still moving forward? You will need to be at a complete stop to be able to consistently shift into neutral. You also have to shift all the way down to 1st, then into neutral from there (you mentioned being new to bikes, so I wanted to make sure I mentioned those things just in case).

Yes I am at a complete stop, only does it sometimes not all the time , so thats why I was concerned. Like ill pull up to a light down shift to first gear and if im there for a while ill want to put it in neutral just so I dont have to hold the clutch in and it wont let me.

Alright, I saw that somewhere else its not too big of a deal I was just worried both my lights might shut off on me .

I will definitely check out the wiring and all that do you know anywhere I can find instructions on how to do so?

I also am assuming theirs a bad wire connection or something with that neutral sensor I read a couple other posts with the same problem, thank you for the picture much appreciated!
