Returning to Riding

Used to ride a ZZR a while ago, just picked up a 2002 ZX6R that needs a lot of love. I've rebuilt the rear master brake cylinder, in the middle of valve clearance check (waiting on gaskets to button it up), and doing regular maintenance in the mean time. I'm in NC, surprisingly the DMV was open today! Tried to title and register, only to find out the system was down all day. Total bummer. I just shopped online instead... ordered the ZZR upper fairing stay to get rid of the cage over the tank. Who the hell thought that was a good design? Speaking of... where do you all get parts for these things? All I can find are the Kawi distributor websites and they are $$$. Where are the hookups?

OP, Welcome.

The age of the bike will work against you, here in the US..... the UK seems to do a much better job of supporting bikes in this age bracket.

"There's this adage that we have 2 ears and one mouth so we should listen twice as much as we talk. Unfortunately with the Internet people have taken this old adage and turned it around. They have two eyes and 10 fingers so they think they need to post 5 times as much as they read. And since they have 10 fingers and one brain, they only have to think 10% of the time! "

your best bet will be ebay or paying the cash thru kawasaki.

I can get any part for my 2002 quite easy over here and kawasaki can still supply every part aswell. can send you a link to the part no drawings if you require.

I would be worried about the age of the bike, but I have the ZZR to pull parts from also. So I'm not too worried about it. Thanks for the welcome though guys!
