Trying to get clarification

Hey everyone I just recently bought a bike from a guy and on the title it says zx600j as the type of bike. Now I looked that up and I haven't been able to find anything clear. Some say that it is a zx6r but an older model and others say its a zzr600. But im not too sure. I've also read that the zx600j, zx6r, and the zzr600 are the same bike just different years and kawasaki renamed it over the years. Is there anyone who can clear this up for me?

What's the year? That will tell you what you need to know. The ZZR600 was made up to 2008 as far as I know but even those late models were really the same exact bike as the 2000-2002 zx6r, just a different name.

2007 ZZR600 (sold)
2006 CBR600 (sold)
2010 1198 (parted out across North America)
2013 CBR500R (race bike)
2009 ZX6R (race bike)
2015 R3 (project bike and future race bike)

Sponsors: Vortex Racing, MSM, MTR Cycle

April 2016 and April 2017 6OTM winner!

It sounds like it's a ZZR600, which is basically the same as an older model of the ZX-6R. You mentioned in your other thread that it's a 2006.
