I Ride: 2016 ZX6R ABS KRT
New Member from Las Vegas!

Hey everyone,

My name is Steven and I'm born and raised in Las Vegas. I have been riding since 2014 (1 year break). I am currently riding a 2016 ZX6R ABS KRT. I started on a Ninja 250 and upgraded to 2012 Ninja 650. I took a break after my son was born and I am riding again. I had my 2016 ZX6R since 11/2016 and loving the bike. I ride solo for the most part but would like to go on group rides (if anyone is around the Las Vegas, NV area). I'm glad to finally joining this site (been browsing the forum on and off for about 6 months), you guys/gals seem like a great group with a lot of knowledge and I hope to learn more.

Welcome to the group.... too far away to do any riding with you, but the nice part about your area is you can get to mountains without having to go terrible distances. Deserts are good for riding most of the year.... when I lived in San Diego, some decades ago (with my wife and infant son, who is now almost 30) I could ride nearly every day. Got rained on twice in 3 years.

What do you have for plans, with the bike?

"Basic stuff fellas. Use your head for something other than to break your next fall."

"There's this adage that we have 2 ears and one mouth so we should listen twice as much as we talk. Unfortunately with the Internet people have taken this old adage and turned it around. They have two eyes and 10 fingers so they think they need to post 5 times as much as they read. And since they have 10 fingers and one brain, they only have to think 10% of the time! "

Hey everyone,

Thank you, glad to be here. I could only find one pic of my 2012 650. I don't have that bike or my 250 anymore. The 650 was totaled in October 2015 and I took a break from riding until November 2016 when I bought the ZX6R. Most of my friends who rode quit due to the dangers of Vegas driving. I just can't imagine not riding and I hope to get my daughters and son into dirtbike riding. My wife used to ride a lot on 125cc motorcycles in the Philippines. She doesn't ride now but I'm trying to convince again (not looking good so far, since my son is just over a year).

My plan for 2017 is to save for an akropovic full system exhaust and quickshifter as my next mods. I'm planning to ride to Los Angeles by the end of this year. I haven't really done any longer distances except around 100 mile round trip to Moapa Reservation.
