as a street bike is never going to win over a race bikes ......
race bikes allways look the dogs bollocks

That's a good idea.
1 category for race-only bikes and 1 for street bikes/dailies.
But theres probably going to be people who drop 10k on a daily just to make it blingy.
How about 1 category for bikes that have 5k or less invested into them, and one for 5k+? That way, the garage queen street bikes and the race bikes can be in the same group?
Idk? |

Well we cant go drawing to many lines, Most people won't put that kinda $$$ into a six.
Not if its a daily-rider. & that would just have to be up to the voters judgment.
If a guy or gal worked hard & put a load of there $$$ into a bike & did the work themselves? Then that's great, that's what we want.
Remember there is supposed to be a story behind every bike.
One requirement though, Should be, You do the work yourself & what you cant or didn't do, should be listed.
In other words, Tell the Story.

I think it's just making things more complicated then they need to be, in all fairness there aren't that many dedicated track/race bikes on here and they don't always look the dogs bollocks (you should see the state mine is in sometimes )

I think it's funny that one particular month people were complaining bc there were too many 'nearly stock' bikes in the botm running.. Like complaining so much that almost all the bikes in it should not of been there in the first place.. Now there has been bikes that have won botm that were closer to 'stock' than most that were in the the one particular month I am talking about..
I'm not downing anyone's bike. I think we all have awesome rides. Some more sick than others.. But if all it takes me to win botm is to have an accident and then have to dump money to repair my bike to brand new... I think I'll just keep the rubber side down and stay out of the running.. People complaining that these bikes are stock shouldn't be here.. Then vote for a bike that's 95%stock with a different can and some sort of fuel management system. I laugh at u lol...

OND. Come on brah... lol
Personally... 6OTY = one bike. It's a 600cc supersport Kawasaki. Track or street... doesn't matter.
It's like saying... "I hate the Miss America pageant... so I'm gonna start the Miss USA pageant."
I vote "stop whining" hahaha
Love ya buddy! (no homo)

if we only had more old hands on this forum,
Blazen, the problem your referring to comes from so many newbies voting.

Meh, don't really matter to me. Ya'll know my position on fairings... BLEH!
I mean, if I can get 6OTM twice, once with a 30 some odd year old beat up UJM I would think anyone has a chance!
& the money thing I don't think should come into play either. I had a STUPID amount of money wrapped up in Bonnie (crashing & modding that much stuff = serious bank!) & she looked like she got spit out the back of a garbage truck. When your bike regularly gets tossed down a dirt road, that's perfect.
Whereas I've seen other bikes, built on a ramen noodle budget that were off the freakin' chart!
I'm with PG, I say if it's a 600 Kawi, we vote on it. Simplicity, it's a beautiful concept!
Nothin' against ya Mike, just sayin' bro. |

I voted to keep it as it is, 6oty should be THE bike that everyone admires, not A bike in one class and A bike in another.
