I was actually going to ask you if that was the Applecross road!! Never done it on the bike, only in the car - but I remember thinking 'next time'....

Very similar to Hardnott pass in the Lake District, is it as steep ?

Towards the top it is extremely steep at the same time as several hairpins!!!

Will have to check out the Hardnott Pass though... only a couple of hours from me!!!

Its a good ride out, can be cold when you get to the top, lots of sharp bends, good coming down

Is it Hardknott Pass in the Lake District. They are very similar looking, but having checked the heights Applecross Road is around 700 ft higher.

Applecross Road 2053 ft
Hardknott Pass 1289 ft
