I think I blur them to much tho.
Try not to crop them so much. It works if you're trying to be artsy. But it just looks like you were to close.

Either have the whole bike in frame, or focus on a specific part.

Crouch a little so you're shooting the bike straight on, it's much more flattering for the bike.

Put em on the race stands if you have them. they rake the bike a little and make them look way more aggressive while centering the bike.

Put something nice in the background like a sunset or something scenic but avoid things like phone polls coming through the middle of the bike.

Great pic!

I agree with getting low. I don't agree with a sunset in the background unless you have lighting which is a whole other animal.

What kind of camera do you have? Something with an HDR feature would be great for your pic with the sun blowing out in the top right corner.

You guys don't pay me to take photos. So, who cares about the quality?
Throw some titties or a nice ass in there & it's perfect.

A simple polarizer will help with reflections, saturation and might help with the sky depending on the angle and stops it is over exposed. Having said that cool pic.

Maybe we need a thread about where to stick a DSLR.

I'd take it out more often if I could fit it in my pocket

I have a Nikon D60 and a Nikon 1 J2 but both are a PITA to take on the bike

Few guides that I think could help the most:

Rule of Thirds
Backgrounds
Framing Shots

I try to take my DSLR with me everywhere. Tourist status +100%.
I mount it on the bike with a RAM mount, attach it to my backpack strap with a clip system, or throw it inside my backpack in a padded case.

Thanks buddy =)

Rucksack... I borrowed my dad's before and put the camera bag inside a backpack. Could fit the Gorilla Jobypod thing which I used as a tripod. I've got some pics on my computer at home of a few destinations (Pics of my old bike though)

See thats my problem. I hate carrying a DSLR and more so on the bike. I don't like baggage.

I cringe when I see people on holiday lugging around a big camera.

I'll sometimes throw mine in my tank bag for big rides or events.
