I've ordered a mount and I'll give it a try. Plus the camera is a spare that I picked up cheap for a one off job then never used.

But your camera isn't wide angle right?

I think it is. It says 'Wide' on it.

Edit: although it wouldn't be your full wide fish eye style

I use a Drift HD, fantastic cameras with good quality, never been let down by it and there virtually half the price of a GoPro. Also have a rotatable lens like the Contour so you can mount anywhere and rotate the lens to get the picture straight and level.

Yeah, but I want to leave 300 notes in my pocket

If I use this camera on the bike more than a half dozen times I'll consider it..

Best thing I like about my Go Pro is I can use it on anything I want, and take it anywhere I want. Whether that be a chest strap down at Alton Towers on the theme park rides, stuck on the front of an enduro bike getting covered in shit, or on the front of my RSV4 going mach 1 haha, but the things just so useable and can be taken anywhere. And then the software is very easy to use too.

I just spent £5. Less than $90 at any exchange rate.

Do you strap it to your chest and pretend to be Iron Man?

GoPro will take a lot of abuse though. Here's what finally did one of mine in:

Even Harder on a GoPro! - YouTube

It bounced off my boy's rear tire for most of the race. It actually still works but shuts off randomly.

If you ever saw a video taken from a gopro in 1080/60/wide taken from a black edition, your jaw will drop, trust me. The compressed YouTube vids or any other internet vids do not do it justice.

I've had my go pro suction cup up to 146 at the track without issue. I still tether it though
