Awesome. Spiffy place to live. One of my mates girlfriends was working over there for a while, she gave a fellow driver the forks in road rage, he dobbed her in and she was put in jail and she nearly got her visa cancelled. Sounds like a pretty strict place.

Its a place of extremes, you get cars tailgating a foot away from your bumper at 120kmh+ and flashing lights etc, its seen as acceptable, but flick them the bird and say hello to the judge.

Very nice mate!! Awesome pics. My friend lives over there, been there for about 6 years now. He loves it, and from your pics I can see why. Those camels on the road. . . wtf!! BikePilot is right about having a XR650R.

Ozo, yep its hot, just started cooling down now and at the moment is a reasonable (!!) 38 deg C in the day and 30 deg C overnight. However June & July some days it was 50 deg plus.
Having said when I was in Basrah it was that hot and hotter and aircon was not great/non-existant, so it isn't unbearable out here, most of the time its aircon car to aircon building with short transit distances.

i have to ask, why are the camels front legs tied together like a high risk prisoner during transport?

oh and why so much desert if the place is man made?

I think the Camels legs are tied together to make them less dangerous (i.e slower).

Also there's still a lot of desert to build on... and you can bet they intend to
