LMAO, I never noticed but yes how amusing, I bet your weather is warmer than the UK Norfolk though, its been dry today though so did about 1 hours riding after work. Starting to get a feel for it now.
I went Nikon about 4 years ago and have never looked back but I have friends who have Canons and they are impressive especially at night and low light shots.

yeah...the next ten days here is guna be about 65-70 and no rain. but yeah. if you can hold the camera still enough or have a stand...night shots and low lights are really good. sometimes runnin no flash looks better than flash. they do good work. thinkin about gettin a new lens for longer distances since i do a good amount of surfing. but there lookin for a couple grand for them (vomit) so maybe when i win the lottery.

Yeah big lenses are a lot, if you're looking for a cheap alternative, Sigma 70-300 F5.6/6.3 APO Macro (The one with the colored ring on the end) the not pro quality by a long shot but they a very good start i have had mine a couple of years and as i don't use it that often it is more than enough for what I need at a very reasonable price.
