In the lot


Going in the door this is about a qourter of the bikes, My camera doesn't have a wide enough angle to get them all .
There's many more behind me & to my right.

First we have to go to the office to get paperwork done.

Then it was back to the truck to unload the 8 bikes & a trike my friend John brought down in his 40foot trailer.
Here are just a few, & I got to ride all of them.
This VFR had a low front tire, so felt like it wanted to fall over when riding it.
Damn might have been fun to ride if not for that.









A friend of Johns sold two of these for $19,000 apiece.

When we arrived back at the auction on Friday morning, The auctions were already taking place.
There are so many bikes there is maybe 6 auctions going on at once.
Each last about 3 minutes. It takes about 12-14 hours to do em all.

Well damn, I was in the market for a new bike too.

Is there a site these things are posted on or is this a dealer only thing?

EDIT : I see the NPA banner on the back wall. My friend (dealer) promised to take me to one of these. Sad I missed this one.

How r the prices? Here in Cali I've been to a few police auctions But people drive up the prices and usually always over pay.

Id say its definitely a buyers market at this time, 99.95% of the bikes were sold.
& within minutes two, But the prices were fairly low.
John's VFR which had only 37 miles on it(yep almost new) just broke the 9k mark.

We picked up that 05 CBR, on the way down, John gave $5,000 for it.
Only made a few $100.00 on it.
He did make almost $2,000 on the 08 CBR.
The Busa only fetched a high bid of $7,700, We brought it back with us.

I say buyers market, But you gotta remember, Most of theses bikes were bought to be resold by a dealer.

I saw lots of bikes go for less than I thought they would.
A 999, parts unlimited rep went for just $8,000, While another Ducati went for $15,000 (not even sure what it was) got pics of both though.
The 999 was signed by Neil Hodgson, & Ben Bostrom.

There were even buyers(or reps for buyers) from Europe buying bikes to ship there.
Has HONDA ever had "Fireblade" on any US CBR's I know that's what there called in European markets, But Iv never seen one that I can remember.
Well I did see a very nice black & silver/polished one @ this sale.

nice duc there ......but the best bike in that line up has to be the fireblade
got a soft spot for the fireblades .....love them ........
