I always think about doing this!!!
I am broke as of now though so no time soon...
However I would be interested to see what you paid for some of this stuff... Incase I find a pile of money for modding my bike... I also want to build a stunt bike so maybe when I graduate you guys can see my 636 turn in to a figher/stunt machine and I will get a 1000 for my supersport/track bike?? Okay I' going to wake up now!
Sick bike tho bro I will have to keep an eye on this Thread!

Not bad man. How much $$$$ are we talking for that?
| The necessities:
Top yoke, break line, clutch cable, handle bars= $450
Front Headlight= $60
Grips= $40
Everything else is additional bling and you can spend as much as you've got. I've got a budget all up of $1,000 to get it totally macked... thanks ebay!
It's not bad considering how drastically different it makes the bike.
Just got back from a ride, fuckin' love it! Quote: |
I said don't sf it! But damn it I might have been wrong. Those BMX bars look so cool.
| Yeh and it feels just like a BMX (on roids!) No regrets bro!!! Quote: |
Do you have a before/after pic of you sitting on it to show difference in riding position?
| Nah I wish I did.... I'll get an after one and compare it against a pic of the net. Stay tuned! Quote: |
You should put some knobbies on it too. That would be sofa king sick bro!!!
| Haha.... here in oz they stretch out full litre sportsbikes and chuck knobbies on them for hill climbing comps... turbo'd up and shit, crazy! Quote: |

| Yeh Spiegler are about the only one's that make the conversion kit for sportsbikes... they fit really cleanly too... can't rock 'em with standard front fairing and screen though. Mods needed to fit to that. They're mad nice to cruise on hey? love it man! Quote:

| You can pull it off for just over $500... plus all the bling you can handle!!!
Not to mention you can swap it back in about an hour... can't see myself doing that though
cheers for the props people... got lots more to add and i'll keep you up to date with how she's looking.
Just put reflective green rim tape on! yeyah!!! haha!

I love street fighters!I used to have a naked bike (Z750) and loved it !So much fun to ride! But now all my friends have ss and when we go on trips, we are way over the speed limit for a long time, it would be a hell to remove my double bubble windscreen...Only if i could afford a second bike to use around the city where i don't speed. |

I just hated the fact that most naked's had de-tuned engines. I loved the response and raw power of the full faired sports bike but needed something more comfortable. You know the funny thing is that although I expected to be knocked around by the wind, I find myself more comfortable and confident at high speeds more often than I ever have on any sportsbike I've owned!!! But my front end's in bubble wrap and boxes, in immaculate condition, so I had to make sure I ended up with something pretty schmick! Once the rear hugger, belly pan, sliders and fender eliminator are on it'll look the business. cheers.

You know, when people mention fightering sportsbike, I always wince a little as there's so many fucked up conversions out there.
Now, you're not in Ray's league until you start putting knobblies on her but wow, awesome job!
That headlight looks spot on and I'll definitely agree that pretty much most of the headlights for fighters look like aliens....
Good work!

I hit some high speeds but then I back right off again, never sitting at real high speed for too long... too many coppers, not enough points on my license! Quote:

You selling them pretty green pieces of plastic? | Hehe... nah I got collected but a cocksucker doing a turn in front of me when I was doing about 90km/h a few years back which wrote my last bike off and fucked my wrists (amongst other things) so I needed something more comfortable to ride... but I didn't want to compromise on performance by getting a de-tuned naked, plus I love the undertail exhaust, PLUS I liked the fact it would be totally custom and unique... not like every other ninja on the road. Plastics aren't for sale sorry as I feel better knowing I can get it back to standard whenever I need to for re-sell or whatever. I couldn't see myelf changing it back for my own needs though... I love everything about the conversion! Quote:

Good work! | I still ride road, and ride it hard so knobbies aren't practicle, but it's definately more supermoto now than superbike.
Keep an eye out for all the bling getting added... it'll look money then for sure!
cheers again for the love!

Nice bike! I'm looking for a way to mount my tach, other than the stock bracket. I like what you have going on here. Care to share how that's mounted?
