Talking My 2005 zx6r (636) Streetfighter Conversion

Hey peoples!!! Hope your all kickin' ass!

Here's some pics of my 05 zx6r i've just finished doing most of the streetfighter mods on. Few more bling bits to come. I've always ridden full faired sports bikes but after an accident a couple of years back, my wrists can't handle the pressure of the clip ons anymore, hence my conversion. It's so fuckin' comfortable now, I love it... it's like riding a a BMX with a scud missile strapped to it's ass!

The only mods done to the bike before I streetfightered it were:

Power Commander 2 computer
Aftermarket slip on exhaust

here's some pics of the conversion

STANDARD 2005 NINJA ZX6R 636

FAIRINGS REMOVED

STANDARD TOP YOKE AND CLIP ON BARS REMOVED

SPIEGLER TOP YOKE WITH RENTHAL STREEFIGHTER 7/8 BARS

SPIEGLER TOP YOKE AND RENTHAL BARS (Top View)

KICK ASS $60 HEADLIGHT FROM EBAY!

STANDARD DISPLAY FITS NICELY BEHIND SPIEGLER TOP YOKE

THE HARD YARDS COMPLETE!

2005 NINJA ZX6R (636) CUSTOM STREETFIGHTER

STILL TO COME!!!

Green reflective rim tape
Carbon Fibre rear hugger
Green racing cowl

Carbon Fibre Tank Pad
Black shorty Rizoma levers with green adjusters
Blinged up brake reservoirs

Two brothers twin undertail full exhaust system.

That should do me for a while.... more pics to come

Not a bad looking street fighter. But I would fabricate some kind of bracket to mount the cluster.

Can't wait to see the rest of your mods installed!

Cheers, yeh it's mounted on a bracket that fastens to the bottom of the ignition barrell. It's actually very sturdy and doesn't vibrate when riding at all. I pulled the tank back and managed to stash the external wires underneath, pulled off the standard belly pan and scrubbed the engine up with degreeser and a toothbrush!... it should all look a bit neater when i'm done...

The good thing is, do it cleanly and you can change it back to a full faired bike within an hour! If you end up doing it hit me up and i'll give u some tips.

yeh it feels like a stunt bike 2. I got 'em cuz I like the naked gixxer lights! A hell of alot more that the other options: street triple style twin lights look ugly and don't clean up the front end nicely, all the other custom faired headlights look like retarded aliens... i'm pretty happy with it ($60 remember!)

I said don't sf it! But damn it I might have been wrong. Those BMX bars look so cool.

Do you have a before/after pic of you sitting on it to show difference in riding position?
