Green foot guard

Inspired by the poster who did it in yellow I thought I would try my hand at some photoshop to see how it would look in green. Pardon the rather cartoonish nature of the color exchange as this was something I just sort of threw together. What do you guys and gals think, too much green?

What type of paint are you going to use if you do it?

Not sure yet, I was probably going to go to the nearest Lowes or something and see if they could do a color match. My concern is with it being a "high-traffic" area and the paint eventually rubbing away, making for an ugly appearance and/or high upkeep in the interim. If I can find the green in a rhino-liner type of paint I might go that route since that stuff is suppose to take a beating (my truck bed doesn't seem to mind).

See if you can find a body shop paint supplier. I used to work for one looonngg time ago. Most of those guys can match just about any color. I heard they can put those paint in spray cans now, along with hardener, and then maybe clear coat over it?

Oh yes, I caught that. I have a buddy of mine who was looking into powder coating some valve covers so I might see about talking to his guy about the foot guards. Suppose to be getting some $$$ in soon so I might take the plunge since I liked how it turned out in the picture.

Looks subtly awesome.

Since I've never personally had to go powder coat anything, how much does that usually cost?

So did mine after painting. They looked pretty damn good until I rode to work. I have the carbon fiber ones on my watch list.
