I'll play around with them and see what I find.. The remOving of the shin padding might make it easier to zip Godzilla's calves up...
I figure they offer enough protection for the street without the hard stuff.
Iv still got the hard stuff, & would use it for the track.

I believe it stands for "Alpinestars Yamaha Collection." No real difference except maybe some different colours etc. and the fact that everything seems to be about 50% off!!

I took that uncomfortable shit outta mine. Much easier to get in & out of now.

UPDATE!!!..

so after ond mentioned taking the shin protection out.. i can now zip the bottoms up with the pants fully on and it doesnt take 10 min per leg to do so..

I will be putting them back in when i do track days.. on second thought.. i will have to see how far the boots come up and see if even need the extra protection under the protected boot.. what are your thoughts on that?.. i guess it wouldnt hurt.. and i had the boots on with the protection on the first time and it felt good..

im just excited that i can put my pants on now in under 15 min!! lol..

just chillen watching some robin meade

exactly lil!!..

they were a collection that a* teamed up with Yamaha..

they produced this collection in 2010 and it only lasted a year i believe maybe 2 yrs..

the only difference is the color.. product is the same...

as you know yamaha's color is blue.. so a lot of the colors have blue in them.. but they have the gray color as well.. as you can see in the first pic i posted all the writing is in white... but look at my pics of the pants and the writing is gray.. i might paint the gray white b/c my boots and jacket are white lol.. im anal like that lol..

the only place it says ayc is a tag inside of my gloves... and inside the pants.. it does not say yamaha anywhere on the product..

ond YES I WANT ONE SOO BAD.. but.. this 15000 miles maintenance is going to cost around $1000!!!

so im going into the shop today.. and sitting down with them.. and crossing off some of the stuff that i have already done.. and stuff i can do when i get the bike back..

the valves need to be checked.. the cct adjusted.. carbs sync'd and bearings repacked and the steering to be lubed.. what else SHOULD be done ond?..

Honestly, I'm not sure you want to get me started on this,
First that sounds like WAY WAY to much $$$$.
Do you trust this shop, I hate to say it but there's not a shop on the plaint I would trust
to do some of that stuff, Charge you for it yes.

Lets take repacking the bearings, How are you gonna know if that job was actually done?
What bearings do you want packed? your linkage should have a grease tit on it, A quick squirt with a grease gun will fix you right.
Just be sure to do em all, should be three on the linkage & one more on the frame.
You never have to worry about the wheel bearings, there sealed.
Your head bearings should be looked at though, & that can be a job.
Removing the forks & triples.
My bike has 44,000+ miles on it & (maybe I should not admit this) But Iv never greased the head bearings.
I did put it on a lift last year & grab both forks, Pulled on em every which way & got ZERO movement. I think there ok. You could do the same.

If the cct is stock, Then I doubt they will attempt to adjust it, sell you a new one maybe.
But likely just tell you to live with it. "Ahh that's normal" that kinda shit.

I suggest you put an APE CCT on it, That's a job you can do yourself.
The bearings is a job you can do yourself.
A sync tool will run you about $100.00, But its going to pay for itself fast.
So that to is a job you can do yourself.

I would & do let the pros adjust the valves.

I do most of my own maintenance(hell all but the valves) Not necessarily because of the $$savings,
But because its the only way I can be sure its been done & done right.

I've graded all those fittings.. And if u said uve nvr done that to ur steering then I won't lol..

And I trust this shop.. It's a small 4-5 man shop.. They are ALWAYS busy... Run good deals.. Like $25 or $35 to dismount, balance, and mount a tire.. I've nvr heard a bad thing about them..

The valve job is just out of my expertise comfort level.. And the sync.. I've read uP on it in th past.. Is it that easy?..

They said that they can replace it with an ape cct if they did anything too it..

I'm about to head to the shop now and like I said cross some stuff out on the list of things I don't want them doing..

And the 15,000 mile maintenance is the BIG one where the entire bike gets looked through.. I didn't feel as if they were trying to dick me around.. And I have some of those discounts we pm'd eachother about up my sleeve so I may play those cards.. What u think ond?..
