I don't have a problem removing your post from this thread. But let me take a minute to educate you first. Oftentimes, what will happen when members post replies to threads and their posts are off topic is the moderator can either choose to delete them or move the unrelated posts to a new thread if it seems that the topic would continue to gain popularity among other members. This is exactly what I did here. I didn't start a thread under your account. You made a post from your own account and that post went into a thread where it didn't belong. I was merely doing you the service of moving your street pics out of the designated track pics forum, and giving them a home of their own, along with the other posts that didn't belong in that thread. In doing so, I created a thread where other members who don't ride track can post up their street pics.

If you would rather not participate, then I can accommodate your request. I guess you could consider this a lesson in threadjacking.

In the future, you'll get a faster response if you actually directly message me. I don't read all of the responses that come up in threads because of the propensity for many threads to quickly derail.

This is as much of an FYI for everyone else as it is a response to your request.

Yes delete the first post please. The bitching is just a little ridiculous IMO. There is basically no difference between a track pic and certain street riding pics.

For example, I'm doing the exact same things, with the same equipment and gear in these 2 pics. Hell as far as body position my street riding pic is better than the track pic.

But someone wants to cry about a street riding pic because the track pic thread is "sacred"? Give me a break.

The whole mentality that track riding is above canyon carving is getting old.

I'm not trying to be a pain in the ass, I'm respecting the integrity of two different cultures of riders and the subsequent threads.

Also: actually it's not the same and I'll tell you why: you're hanging over the double yellows which means you're taking your corner a little tight for the riding conditions.

The difference between the street pics and the track pics is that on the track there isn't a motorhome just out of view that would be coming around to lop your helmet off. Thus, the lines you take on the street should never be the same as the lines you take on the track. Imagine having to correct that line when the car came around in your lane.

Wouldn't have to do that on a track. Just sayin'.

It's safer and doesn't give us the negative image like flying around the streets hanging off dragging knee.

That's the only thing I can say.

Nobody place track "above" anything. The environments are completely different, as is (or should be) your approach to them.

What's so tough about keeping pics taken on the racetrack separate from those taken on the street, anyway?

That's exactly my point, performance riding is one culture. The only difference is some have easier access to race tracks than others.

And that corner is wide open so I would see an approaching vehicle about 100 yards ahead.
