Mr KAWASAKI'S Build Thread

I wanted to share with you the progress of one of my most favorite bikes the 2014 ZX636R. So this will be the thread showing all the things I do to the bike. It will be a street bike that will be formidable at the track. So it begins.

One thing I absolutely need is a comfortable controls. I love the clutch assist on this bike but I took it one step further with this.

CRG Roll a click lever

It's also a folding lever so in a tip over the lever won't break off.

Staying with the controls theme. We have a Active EVO Quick action "QA" Throttle. Since Factory Kawasaki didn't make any kit parts for this bike I went with the next choice. This kit is pretty nice all aluminum housing with 3 different reel choices. I bought the optional larger 46 mm "Rossi" reel to get to about a 65 degree throttle turn. I bought this because I don't want have to overgrip the throttle and it allows me to be smoother on and off the gas. Oh yeah and quicker to full throttle.

There are a couple things I immediately do when I get a new bike.
Here's one of them toss those factory reflectors and buy the replacement bolts.

Nice. Where did you get the quick throttle kit?

Gp Tech
Ordered it for me
It's cheaper than the kit Kawasaki throttles and close to the same quality.
The adjustable Reels are nice.
It fits like the factory throttle as far as the size so no trimming needed.

True but finding a 60deg throttle is pretty hard unless its used.

Did the same on mine but my excuse was I had a shiny new CF front fender to fit at the same time.

I had a cool Kawasaki kit part laying around so I thought I'd inject some superbike DNA into my ZX6R. Kit oil filler cap

I'm not a huge fan of mirrors so these are a perfect fit. Hopefully I'll get more of the RG stuff soon.

They're plastic right? For the price I think they're a complete rip-off. And I like most R&G stuff.
