As long as you know your size and what will fit you, (As in size and brands suit your body) shop around there are plenty of online places selling gear.
Google is your friend.

Cycle gear has some at a good price if you are on a budget. I was looking at getting some myself.

I would say...go buy from your local stores......as in the US they are struggling...much like our shops here in aus....the difference being.......shit is nealry double here in the shop compared to online compared to maybe a couple hundred difference there.....
if the bike shops go bust....where will you buy you new bikes from?

This suit used to be like 1,400 new. If you call Ridersdiscount and talk to Mike they will porbably drop it another hundred dollars. Mike can also help you with sizing.

For basically all my gear I go into a store that carries what I want to try stuff on, then I ask the store if they will match the price of online stores. Usually they will, especially in this economy. If they won't then I just go home and buy my size online.
Also always look on craigslist. I needed a Teknic jacket to zip to my pants and found one in my size with a broken zipper. Bought it for $50, paid a leather repair shop another $60 to replace the zipper.

Ask for Mike. He will give you a great deal. |

Go try as many on as you can and find the ones you want, then go on the internet to try to better the prices.
Sizing is so different brand to brand.
Even better get some made to measure prices we have people in the UK doing it locally to me and charge around £600 - £700 but let me tell ya they stand up to lots of knocks, my mate had 16 crashes in one British Supersport season and his leathers stood up to them all and so did his skin.
You deffo get what you pay for.

probably not on topic as such but in NZ we have a local guy here who has spent a long time building a brand that is top grade in quality and service. He spends a great deal on the details ensuring things like stitching and armor is not compromised. He sponsors me and I have crashed in his suits plenty of times that by rights should have hurt a load more than they did. Check his site out if you are in the market because he deals internationally too. go to www.qmoto.co.nz and make sure you tell him "Biggles" sent you ;-)
