I was coming into a 270 degree exit on to a perpendicular highway.
I was late for work and lost and I came in hot. I started to focus on the shiny spot of the guardrail I thought I was going to destroy. Then target fixation came into my head which I learned right here. I turned my head to the right and through the turn I went easy as pie
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.

another thing to do in that situation is to gently apply a bit more pressure to the inside handlebar.

Viva... Glad you picked up something here. Might have seemed small at the time, but sure saved your bacon this time!
I've had the same thing happen before and actually remember telling myself out loud to look up.

I want to put a sticker of a target or TF in the very corner of my visor or on my dash. as a constant reminder til I'm done being a newb.
Yea that pressure on the inside handlebar works miracles bombing hard turns on the bicycle. I feel on the motorcycle it's more of a push forward than simply adding pressure.
Much appreicated again guys.

I think that it is good that people are really reading and takinng in the information that in on the Forum.
I know that nI have used it several times going into a corner to hot for my skill level but from reading the information thatpeople have posted on here for me and others in the past I was able to work though and come out the other end.
I have found that by studying the videos and techniques of the vastly more qulified riders on the forums I have learnt far more than riding with my mates as all they want to do is "ride fast" without "riding correctly and safety"
Thank you again from me guys, you have kept my confidence on a bike so far and I'm sure you will carry on doing so far far.... far into the future!
