Is that the gas station on William Street? I've been wondering about this too. What about running the 93/110 mix like COOLJ suggested. I've read about ppl running pump/race mix and adding a little benzene which causes the higher octane fuel to ionize and burn better. Any thoughts Track Guys?

this.

higher octane fuel allows you to increase timing without the threat of knock. putting the fuel in your bike without it being tuned is just a waste of money.

95/98 RON in Europe are equivalent to 91/93 (RON + MON)/2 here in the states

yeah its the one on williams st. pretty legit but i need to figure out what to do to my motor to make use of the race fuel...anyone? i just filled up for the hell of it it has a 50/50 mix in it right now exahust smells a little different and response is a little smoother(might just be in my head though) but other then that i dont feel much might have to get it on a dyno and see some solid numbers as to whether it helps or hinders.

I'm here in Germany, and i can't read German, so i just get the "super plus" where ever i decide to stop.

like someone said before it will allow more timing to get more power but you will need a tune. if you were to build the motor with high compression you could gain a lot of power with race fuel and some good tuning.

higher octane fuels are more resistant to combusting. compressing air makes it hot so high compression motors need higher octane fuels so the air temp alone doesnt ignite the fuel mixture before ignition (knock). turbos/superchargers are air compressors so they superheat air which is why they require higher octane fuels as well.

Actually "Race Fuel" only works if your street racing. You need to have at least a 6 inch spoiler, minimum 17 manufacturing endorsements recognizable by various decals placed in random for others to know that you have mods. ONLY WORKS ON 4-cylinder japanese sedans. The pumps will only give you race fuel if it hears your exhaust from 3 blocks away.

thought you guys knew this.....

I would only run it if you have decked the head and are running a kit head gasket. There is no oxygen in that fuel so its is just a waste of money...the only benefit to that fuel is the lead which is a little softer on the motor.
AGREED! Another thing.... Be careful cause in some states it is illegal to pull up to a pump and fill up with race gas. Check with your local city ordinances cause that fuel is sold for "Off road use only". A friend of mine here in California was ticketed by CHP for that and it cost him $350.00.

MR-12 is the way to go on our bikes. Get a thin head gasket and race cams + tune.
