Has anyone ever bought leathers off of ebay. The portogear ebay store is the ones that I am looking at. I hope they are legit because the offer a lot of customization and you send detailed measurements so the fit will be right. Any input will help, thanks guys

I bought a cheap non-perf leather jacket from EXL off EBay for winter rides. I did go down it it and the stictching in the seams tore apart far too easily. The leather held up ok, but once I compare it to my A* full suit, Teknic pants, and Shift leather jacket you can see where the corners were cut.

You can often find full leathers that have been worn once or twice for a great price. I paid 400.00 for my Alpinestar full suit that was worn once. You get what you pay for imo.

I found the pics of that EBAY Leather jacket that came apart after my 45mph lowside. The seams just exploded....not the best quality





Fortunately I had this on underneath or I surely would have had road rash

I bought Alpinestars leathers off ebay for $400 and im really happy with them. Get a name brand for sure. Even though the ones i bought were "entry level", Alpinestars uses the same armour in all their suits, so you dont lose the protection quality, which is what really counts! SP-1 is a good suit...inexpensive too
