Who's going to Putnam Park Indiana April 21st & 22nd?

I made hotel reservations today and just finished doing some prep work on my new bike (coolant, safety wire, etc) so I guess me and a few buds are going. I'm referring to the MCRA track day weekend April 21st and 22nd. You can sign up here:

MCRA Track Events

I will sign up a couple weeks before the event to get the early bird special.

Hope to see you there!

I'll have to make it down for one of those.

I'll be a Grattan Raceway that weekend.

Tentatively yes. Even if I can't ride, I'd like to see how it works and get to meet you all.

Will they zip together with your leather jacket? If so you can bump up to the Novice class if you want after doing your TTT.

You just give them some more money and say "hey, I wanna ride Novice". Sounds like you are ready! Just check over the requirements to make sure you don't miss anything. The bike rules are a little more lax in the Novice class than the other classes. I believe you still need Engine Ice or Water Wetter but you don't have to do the safety wiring. You will have to tape up your glass though.

Oh, if you bump up you don't have to pay full price for Novice since half the day will be gone by time you finish your two sessions. I think it's like another 65 bucks or something.

But thats more monies though!!...Not sure if I'm fully ready for that yet.. What's the cost for the novice class? What class are u?..

Edit $245 compared to $65... I'll do my ttt for now.. Then september I might graduate to the novice..

Dressed in my full a* atire, my bell star carbon fiber speed freak, and two gopro2's.. People are going to mistake me for Rossi or Spies..

Then they see what lines I choose around the track and then theywill tell me to leave.. lol

Heh heh, just don't run over me! I have 2 GoPro HDs I also have a couple of those chinese HD keychain cameras. I figure I can put a camera on each of the bikes in my gang or I can get a couple of angles on my bike.

$245? That would be if you do both days. I think it is $125 per day if you sign up early (2 weeks in advance), $150 per day if you sign up within 2 weeks or day of. I've been riding in the Novice class but I have been wanting to bump up to Intermediate. I think this year I might run Novice on day 1 and Intermediate on day 2 at each track or maybe depending on if my son goes along. You don't have to ride both days, and in fact my buds are thinking about only running 1 day. I would like to do both days.

^ yeah go big or go home!!.. And prolly for my first REAL track day.. Prolly be exhausted after day one.. Prolly should only do a single.. If ur body isn't ready for a sport.. U will pay..

So since this is just a small track day that I'm doing.. 2 days should be fine.. Can't wait..
