636 in the 600 class?

I totally forgot that I have a 636. I signed up for racing class tomorrow to get my racing license. My plan was to race next season in the 600 class. Will they (AFM) let me race my 636? If not, is there a class I can run my 636? I guess worst comes to worst, I'll run my Aprilia in the 1000 class..

Tell them it's the ZX6R 600 cc. They did make a 600 in that year just not many I believe because they were for 600 class race purposes.

Depends on what class you looking at. They have classes for the 636. More than likely your going to be running with 750's though. Check the rulebook.

If you look at most of the "c" class requirements for WERA and CCS, they state up to 650cc so I have been able to run my 03 636 in these classes with no problems. The differences lay in Superstock and Superbike classes on engine mods, tires, brake upgrades ect. Check the guidelines in their rulebooks for clarification and if it is not there email the race org and ask what the cc limits are for that class.

Good luck and most of all have fun.

ps. set a budget for the year and stick to it...when the money is gone the racing stops. Plan accordingly and you'll have a blast and not go broke.

The 03-06 636 was legal in super sport middleweight, in the club I race in.
Good luck, let me know how those forks worked!

My best friend raced his 636 in AFM but I don't remember what class. You should be fine, just find out what the designated class for your bike is.
