2 of the kids in my club raced supersport this year. One of them ended up with the #3 plate in my club, the other finished top 10 in AMA SS.

Really happy and lucky to get to work with them on practice days.

You have no idea how embarassing it is to have your ass handed to you by a 17 year old kid at a track day.

I have been racing with CCS and WERA in the northeast / mid atlantic for the last few years.

I've been doing 6-8 rounds per year.

For the 2014 season we are putting a 2011 ZX6R on the grid.
The plan is to run CCS sprints along with a WERA endurance effort.

I'd really like to do an AMA round at NJMP or Mid-O but not sure I can swing the cash.

14 year old on a 250 handed me my ass. Of course he won a few championships last year and is raced all over Europe this year:

Just saw this thread and figured I would post.
I hold a Novice license with SOAR (Southern Ontario), and compete in lightweight 250 endurance racing. Did a few "real" races, and was pretty competitive. I will be back next year to try and fight for a 600 Novice club title.

Actually, does anybody from Michigan know about the local racing scene in the United States? I can't seem to find any information on true club level racing here at Grattan. Almost seems like people are jumping right into riding novice WERA regional races. Is this the way to go in the United States? I was always under the impression that WERA was the semi-pro level. A sort of feeder series for the AMA.

Sorry for my ignorance on US racing :x
Cheers guys-

On the East Coast there is also CCS. CCS has combined ASRA rounds and some AMA races that have payout and their grids are normally much larger than WERA. I have stayed with WERA since they grid based on points and CCS grids racers based on when they register.

On the West Coast, WERA is larger since it covers multiple tracks for club racing and there are some really fast guys out there. Some individual tracks have their own race league, but WERA hits more tracks.
