I remember a couple of years ago when I made a bunch of mods to my 1198 in the off-season. I got Ohlins TTX shock, Ohlins forks, offset triple clamps, superbike seat that sits taller, and switched to slicks. Then I took the bike out on track in April, after not riding it since September/October and thinking "everything sucks"! lol

I was slow, felt weird and uncomfortable...but it had nothing to do with the parts. It had everything to do with me having to get back in the groove. After about a day or so, I started getting into it and lap times started dropping too.

Increase compression damping in the rear and/or decrease rebound damping up front. A friend of mine had me ride his Triumph 675R complaining of the same issue on corner exit. Turned out it was too slow on the rebound up front. Took it out a turn and it fixed the issue. Not sure about it only being on one side. I'm kinda going with a mental thing. I haven't ridden since December so I'm sure my next track day I'll have all sorts of bugs to shake out.

Alright, adjusted the front rebound ↓ and back compression ↑ for an improvement on the squatting. I'll have to go to a shop/ see a track suspension guy sometime in the future for a new baseline adjustment.

Also too slow rebound on the rear can cause it to pack and make it squat when on the power coming out of a corner.

Looks like it is already covered but just to confirm, follow this list in the order it is written:

Check swingarm angle (~12.5 degrees)
Confirm shock length (you will do this in swingarm angle measurement)
Confirm spring rate is stiffer than previous and is correct for weight and riding style
Increase rear compression
Check rear rebound (bounce check)
Check front rebound (bounce check)
