Haha no worries, I know you are in Mtl but if you ever have your bike in TO take it Jeff at Riders Choice he will sort you out, he's built so many zx6's he has a lot of the info memorized especially in terms of tuning and calibrating the tc.

Bike is getting close to ready, ohlins 30 mm installed, new rectifier and bracket, new shorai lithium battery, made 113whp yesterday on the dyno without any tuning or flashing.

the better part is that the hp/tq graph and air fuel is super smooth starting at 13.2 and dipping into the high 12 at about 10k till 16k so no need to install a pc, maybe i'll do a basic reflash later .

with the 10r

Update on the td bike!

I have been at Calabogie motorsport 2 times and the bike feel great, i am wainting for my aim solo lap timer , as for the bike i have lots of front end but i still need to finetune the elka, my o-ring on the shock shaft is still too high so i removed 2 click of compression since.

I have installed since a bazzaz new strain gauge quickshifter along with did x ring gold chain wiht renthal -1+2 sprocket, and techspec tank pad, didn't tried the bike since .

Now i want to do a little front brake update, everything is stock and the pad have not much left , i experience little vibration during hard braking and i think the disk need a light sanding so what you guys recommend for paper sand grain and new brake pad, i want something that has not tons of initial bite because i experienced some long little stoppie during panic brake haha.

something close to stock feeling would be great too!

thanks guys

I love the EBC EPFA so much that I named my first born Epfa... But seriously those pads are really good and promotes crazy trail braking... The more you squeeze on that lever the more braking power they give you.

Hi,

I discover your thread, that's great! I want to do the same spirit on my bike.
I've a 2010, I'm beginning its setting for trackday !

I'm totally lost regarding engine mapping.. to get the best one with the exhaust (Akra, same as yours) mainly to be reliable.

Thanks sorry for the late reply i didn't come here too often lately !

The bike will probably run fine till you figure out what you want to do, i personnaly run the akra mid pipe and slip on with stock gutted header and no tuning or reflash, the bike was put on the dyno just to make sure the air fuel was ok, in fact our bike are pretty rich from factory and the air fuel was even on the rich side so i will probably only do a reflash this winter to get more punch and better drivability but the bike was running good making 113whp and was still the strongest whp the day i was on the dyno vs a gsxr and r6 both fully modded race bike with full exhaust and tuning!

Hi Gab,

Yes the ram air was on the bike and wideband at the end of the slip on!

My 4th gen zx10r which was supposed to be in the 180whp range made 192.7 on his dyno just after a gsxr 600 csbk bike made under 110whp after tuning ... lots of people say its just read stupid high but i speak with the most reputable race bike builder in qc about that and he admitted his dyno setup was the best in the area with the huge ram air representing the most realistic real life condition, part of the reason it read higher than most other dyno here.

What are you running gab ?!
