WSBK has great potential. My hope would be the unification of rules between WSBK, MotoAmerica and BSB. It would make it a lot easier for for factories to have teams in each organization Then at the end of the season, have a "Super Superbike" race with the top 5 racers of all three organizations.

I think Rea is still the guy to beat. Anybody who can win on the old Honda is a very good rider, which is why i think it be tough for Nicky Hayden. He could win a race, but not likely a championship.

With Kawasaki, Yamaha, Ducati, and hopefully Aprillia in the mix, it should make for some exciting racing.

I've purchased the VideoPass and will be watching all the 2015 races over the next few weeks.

Question though...I see the SSP only has 1 race per weekend but it looks like SBK has 2. Do I need to watch both to know what's going on? Or is it like two 'heats', etc.?

Yes and don't forget superstock 600 there is some good racing there this season. KNN54's protege had a great season in that class and KNN54 battles with Cluzel were awesome.

I know I'm late but I've been watching the CIV Repsol Spanish moto2 series to help with my moto GP withdrawal.

Agreed, if you like to watch Kawasaki hand it to others (other than Rea in SBK LOL) watch the 600's. I don't remember which race it was but in one, riders kept trying to bump off Razgatlioglu and he just kept trucking. It was awesome to watch.

1) What will the new ZX10 be like and how will it do?

2) Will Rea continue to dominate?

3) Will Sykes ever figure out how to manage a tire?

4) Will Hayden come here and dominate or be another DePuniet? I am REALLY hoping the former as I like Hayden as a rider.
I hope to see this thread get more traffic here next year. I tried this version 2 years back and it fizzled. I think the end to this MotoGP season will make WSBK much more popular next year.

It's already proving to be a better bike than before... and that's saying a lot since the older bike was a beast! I think it'll do well and will have some stiff competition with the R1 coming into the fold in WSBK.

2) Will Rea continue to dominate?
Probable... But if... (see below)

3) Will Sykes ever figure out how to manage a tire?
(continued from above...) ...Sykes can figure out how to conserve tires he will beat Rea. I think he's a better rider in many cases. Rea had a hell of a season though. But remember... Sykes was in the same shoes the year before. The new bike is a using a lot of both of their input so it'll be an interesting bike to see go around the track.

4) Will Hayden come here and dominate or be another DePuniet? I am REALLY hoping the former as I like Hayden as a rider.
He's going to do better than DePuniet because he's a workhorse. RD didn't seem to me to always put in the work. Hayden knows he has a tall hill to climb but I think if anyone can do it... it's him. Dominate? Not sure... but bring some new life into the mix? Definitely. He'll be placing much better than he was in GP. I will predict a top 5 finish in the first race.

That's about all I have to say about that.

Recently motogp has sucked, but this year sorta made up for the past few years.

So having said that, I too will confess to being a big WSBK fan, Its been real good for years now.
Although it sorta swapped places with motogp this past season......ummmm thank you Johnny.

I too am looking forward to seeing Nicky on a superbike
But I think unlike Ben, Nicky clearly is not just reaching the top of his game, I don't expect to much. not to mention the Honda sucks....

I just renewed my video pass, so we will see.... can't wait for some testing...

Yeah, I turned on a couple WSBK races this year, but it was always these Rea and Sykes on the Kawis out front, and sometimes the leader loses his tires and the follower gets 1st, but there wasn't a whole lot going on, compared to MotoGP

Honda 2016 testing season begins today at Motorland Aragon. Here's Nicky Hayden's first appearance with the CBR1000RR.
