2016 WSBK Season (Spoilers Inside)

Well, since there is a large following for MotoGP and personally I prefer WSBK of late, I thought that I would start a thread for the more interesting series :-p

I have a bunch of unanswered questions that I am looking forward to resolving.

1) What will the new ZX10 be like and how will it do?

2) Will Rea continue to dominate?

3) Will Sykes ever figure out how to manage a tire?

4) Will Hayden come here and dominate or be another DePuniet? I am REALLY hoping the former as I like Hayden as a rider.

I personally WSBK much better, the races are so much to enjoy and the grid is tightly packed. Most manufactures have a striving chance to win except for Honda and Suzuki unless they make an improvement over the winter.

I feel the new zx10 most likely dominate due to what they have engineered right out the factory just to be complaint to the rules. In my eyes it's looking for KRT. Rea just might dominate next season and Sykes need to change his riding style. I think he's just a lil too aggressive for the long haul of the race.

I won't even get into about Hayden. Not worth the time IMHO.

I'm very curious how will the R1s perform out there, will the R1 stand up the dominating bikes on the grid in it's first or will it need two seasons?

I think the R1 will give the Kawi a lot of problems, although Rea looked predominant in testing again.

Honestly I pay more attention to WSS as they actually race what I ride and I'm a fan of Kennan and PJ.

Don't think Hayden will be able to do much on the current Honda

After the first race weekend at Phillip island I thought the 2015 wsbk season was kind of a let down. But 16 should be awesome with Yamaha back and Hayden in there. Plus I can stop feeling bad for Lowe's since his bike might make it past the warm up lap without having to retire for electrical problems. I think my favorite part of the season was Biaggi coming back, doing well, and REFUSING to share data with the other Aprilia riders haha. With manufacturers coming back to motogp as well, all in all a good time to be watching motorcycle racing .

And I don't see any way the ZX10 isn't the bike to beat since the updated model was done specifically around staying ahead in wsbk.

For S&G's as I follow MotoGP only right now (between the NFL, NBA, NHL and MotoGP I don't even have time to follow F1 which I would love to lol)...

When does the WSBK season run? Same time as MotoGP?

Also, is there a place to pay to watch HD quality video? Similar to the MotoGP pass on their website?

I don't know about that, if BSB is any indication the R1 is the bike to beat, the question is if the updates to the Kawi put it on par.

Different rules, wsbk has been where kawi's focus has been, plus the yamaha is a brand new bike. It needs more than 1 year of development to see its full potential. I think the whole point of kawi not totally redesigning the bike is so they can pick up right where they left off development wise except now the total potential of the bike is higher. Maybe kawi saw they may have been finding, or close to finding, it's limitations in 2015 before this updated model.

Yes very different rules but BSB spec and WSBK spec are not that far off. I believe the R1 is the better base package but you are right it is lacking development, I guess we will see...

Yes they offer a video pass just like Moto GP, considerably cheaper too.

Go on the WSBK website all the info is there.

Man, rough day. Honestly, didn't even think to Google 'wsbk' and see if they had a site.

Looks a lot like the MotoGP site, so must be the same developer/web design group. Cool.

Man with the new R1, the new Kawi, Davies and Hayden, WSBK just might be the series to watch (outside of BSB of course).

Really curious to see if the new Kawi suits Sykes any better, Guintoli and Lowes aren't exactly slow, and Hayden is on ancient machinery but you can't count him out. Should be good times! If they can catch Rea of course...

They are actually both owned and regulated by the same company.
