Rectifier bracket for race fairings

I've seen a few different ways to mount a rectifier for race fairings.

Here is how I did it with 1/2" by 1/8" aluminum bar.

Works like a charm. If anyone wants measurements let me know in PM.

You should document your contraption on this thread. A lot of ideas to build on. Your method looks right out a Mad Max movie but if it works it works..

'09-'12 - where did you mount your reg/rec?

Not sure why it looks like a Mad Max setup. It is a rather precise setup and no mohawks or assless pants were involved. I will post on that thread. Forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder.

You sure went to a lot of work! Doesn't get much easier than this....

I did have to anneal the aluminum to get it to bend without cracking, so it did take some time. I wonder if yours will vibrate a lot...

I stuck mine inside the front fairing with a piece of velcro. Seems to work just fine so far.

Doesn't vibrate at all or not that I noticed. Wasn't much work a once I realized that drilling holes for the 90 degree turns was smarter than trying to bend the aluminum in that direction. Looks like your model has the rectifier in a different spot than my 2013.

you could follow the race manual, mount it under the battery tray, in front of the rear tire exposed, better cooling. Ski

Wait, you guys don't wear your Mohawks and assless pants while working on your bikes?

I may have just figured out some looks I've gotten from neighbors.......

Bump Just looking for more ideas...

I was going to tail mount it but it appears the stator wires aren't long enough on the '13+

I just ran a piece of flat aluminum barstock around the front frame spur and attached it to the mounting point on the frame for the oem bodywork. I know I've posted it on the forum somewhere.... I'll try to find it.
