Interesting point about Zarco. Didn't realize he set the fastest lap of the race. He's not my #1 pick to cheer for, but I was happy to see him win twice in Moto 2. I basically became a fan and gained lots of respect for him after that press conference where he went off on some idiot reporter who asked someone else a stupid question. Can't remember which one it was, but it was awesome!
Same for me.... when he lit up that journalist after Luis Salom's death. Priceless. I was a fan from then on.

Imola I played in WSBK generation as well as car racing sims. But I do like Brno in GP'13 and '15. I like it because of the elevation change and lots of mid to long turns. Spa would be another fun one but bikes don't race there professionally as far as I know, but I have seen onboard videos from motorcycle track days there.

Which GP game do you have? If you got '15 and you play on PC, you should add me on Steam. There's barely anyone that plays that online anymore and I just got into playing it online recently after I got bored of the AI.
I can tell you that Laguna is far more scary in real life than in a game

I'm on Steam too... Powergroove75

Don't play a lot though... I'm playing Titanfall lately.. lol.

I'm sure it is! Considering I'm lapping a few seconds faster than all the real-life lap records, every track and every corner is much scarier in real life than in the game!

Spa's current track director is trying to get MotoGP back there in 2020. 1990 was last MotoGP race at Spa, won by Wayne Rainey. Spa is such a badass track. It's my favorite track far and away. Road America reminds me of an American version. Up there with Suzuka for me.

For MotoGP, I love Mugello, with Catalunya and Motegi being my other faves.

Yeah, I reeeeeeeallllly don't understand the rationale behind removing the points system. The idea of it is to have the capability of equally disbursing punishments for breaking 'the laws'.

The system is being taken done away with because "penalty points system was too complex to work in practice, and didn't solve the problems it was meant to". That sounds like a problem with the people in charge of deciding what a penalty is / when one has occured, not with the penalty system. If the system needs to be revised, revise it. But I think that it just needs to be enforced properly

Without some sort of system in place as landmark to refer to, how will riders be able to ensure equality and proper enforcement for what will literally be subjective no-no's

For me it's like 92-93 mph! Huge difference! And my pace typically puts me about middle of advance group at a track day there. The MotoGP guys on the GP bikes would probably be averaging between 115-120 mph there easily.

methuselah on steam. I play MotoGP 13,14, 15 and Ride.

Going to pick up Ride 2 here eventually.

On MotoGP gaming news the good news is that this year's game will be the last in Milestone's crappy in-house engine. Hopefully that will mean a smoother, faster engine in the future and hopefully full steam integration for multiplayer. Current multiplayer interface is utterly awful.

What?!! I love turn two! It's such a fun corner! Lol that whole going full blast over a crest and having to slam on your breaks as you are going downhill into turn two is what messes with me hahaha! I had an instructor say "oh man just pin it through" and I was like like "I ain't there yet buddy let me get there in time" hahaha lol

Doesn't seem too bad to me. I always keep it pinned till way past the crest on a MotoGP bike. 1:16s was my race pace there.

We're still talking video games right?

Will do. My steam has been languishing for about 2 months so I need to login. I mostly use steam for hoarding at this point lol. I can't resist buying games when they hit $5 but I never play them hardly.

I feel like that blind crest and the corkscrew are okay once you know where to aim for, but most crashes I've seen happen at turn 2-3 (especially 3). I almost crashed there too!

Oh I'm sure even my slow ass can pin it on a 300 then in that turn!
