Heck no I'm not betting on him. the chances are way to slim that I'll be right, but I am hopeful.

I really want to see some progress with with Aprilia too, with Aleix since Lowes isn't getting anywhere this season.

If he does those will be the first time he gets points this season. Even Rins is beating him right now.

He looked great in Quatar until he crashed. I think he would have done well enough in Argentina too if it wasn't for the jumped start penalty. We'll see how it plays out

So, I want to present you with this question and I ask you to genuinely reflect on it and give an honest, thought out response.

What do you actually like about Lorenzo?

Edit --

Actually, any fans of JL99 are welcome to answer that query

lol. It's not just Lorenzo that I like. I am pretty much indifferent to who the race winner is every time as long as its an exciting race and I like the whole grid of riders (except Fentati, that dude is a jerk). I sincerely admire JLo's lap consistency that he generally has put out through many races (albeit with an allergic response to rain), that high corner speed that he carries and for the most part clean passes.

To quote Cal Crutchlow when he was riding a Tech 3 Yamaha, “the only time we reach the lean angles that Jorge achieves is just before we fall off.”

When it comes to the whole "personality issue" I think we've all met our fair share of people that people that just get a bad rap even if it's not intended, and all MotoGP press loves to make drama out of rider's reactions. I've never talked to any of the riders at a MotoGP event, just wsbk, but when I've talked to, or at least take a picture, at the paddock in Laguna with Sykes, Rea, Jordi Torres, Elias, Badovini, Chaz, Laverty, Baz, Haslam, etc. they've been awesome, but they all clearly have their moments of "throwing tantrums" at the events that everyone seems to think only Lorenzo displays. So that's why I don't really understand all that hate he gets. It's not really important to me.

Another reason could probably be that growing up I was a huge fan of Max Biaggi in the 250 and 500 class. In the 500 class Rossi dominated those races but he was prone to display very bratty attitude similar to that of Lorenzo but with more "charisma" which made fans accepting of it. So, again, I don't really get where the hate comes from. A lot of people didn't like Stoner either because he would fold under pressure and was prone to whining but again who cares. All of them are great riders.

All in all I just love motorcycle racing. I think that's pretty thorough.

--------

Another thing I can think of is that I myself am prone to saying the wrong thing at the wrong time as in not showing interest or changing topics suddenly, so I can make terrible first impressions. I've worked hard at improving that though.

I think the massive corner speed JLo carries was the Yamaha, not 100% the rider.

Even Vinales says 'I'd like to brake later and turn sharp, but this bike doesn't like that'.

I know it's only FP1 of Race 3, but this could be the most competitive MotoGP season ever, for position 2. If Vinales keeps running away with everything, he'll pull a Marquez and win the season super early.

That said, Marquez's time isn't bad. He's always won at COTA so he has some experience.

Zarco is looking good! An unlucky crash in Race 1 and a solid position in the next, this guy seems good also.

JLo is faster, but still slower than Zarco.

Not surprised at the last 3 riders.

I think COTA might just tell the tale of what's gonna happen this season. If Vinales wins on Sunday, I'm gonna say the championship is his. If Marquez doesn't win at COTA, which has been one of his top 2-3 dominant tracks (along with Aragon and Sachsenring), he's not winning the championship this year. He's already trailing quite a bit in the points.
