What Marquez had to say about the Zarco's move on Rossi.

Marquez reckoned Zarco had not done anything he or Rossi would not.

"Of course it was aggressive, but in the beginning everybody is pushing 100%," said Marquez of Zarco's move.

"I'm an aggressive rider, Valentino is an aggressive rider, we also overtook really strongly in the past, and we will again in the future.

"If you are aggressive and you overtake strongly, you need to understand the other riders are also aggressive. It's always like this, it's racing."

I still dont think Zarco had the line...not in the short tight corner. Clearly he didnt or he would have passed right?...right. He didnt. He made the mistake of thinking someone was just going to give it to him.

So there's apparently a Moto 3 juniors championship this weekend, and alongside they're running the Kawasaki Z cup with z900 bikes. I wanted to watch but no one is televising it.

It's called the CEV European Championship and it's usually on the same sites that stream Moto GP, usually on you tube in a few days as well.

Well, it's not quite as simple as that.

Zarco was on the racing line.
Rossi was not on the racing line.

Where it gets complicated is that Rossi was in front. He did get offline which opened the door for a pass attempt, but they touched as Rossi was coming back onto the racing line. It is always the obligation of the rider in the back to make a clean attempt without forcing the rider in the front off of his line.

That's how it's SUPPOSED to be anyway, and is the basis of my rationale in defending Rossi's reaction and disapproval of the penalty he was given. But let's not talk about that.

The reality is that it was a totally fair pass attempt, and a totally fair reaction by Rossi after touching. Innocent racing incident on both parties.

As well, I think Rossi was a bit harsh in his words talking about the incident with Zarco.

That would be the fair assessment that most have reached.

Additionally, Rossi has a history of confronting or verbally attacking those he feels most threatened by.

Zarco is doing an amazing job, and if he keeps this consistency he will take Rossi's seat eventually.

Lorenzo won't be riding on a Yamaha again unless he buys one at a dealership

I've been a huge fan of Zarco ever since I started watching Moto2. Huge fan. In my top 5 riders for sure.

The ONLY "bad" thing about Zarco is his age. Not because he isn't capable of winning, but because factory seats are usually handed off to young riders. That whole experienced rider / young rider model that most manufacturers seem to follow.

I think that's the only real hurdle to Zarco getting on a factory bike I would surmise that is the reason he didn't get the seat at Suzuki over Rins. It is painfully glaringly apparent it isn't due to Rin's talent.

Technicality.

Let's not quarrel over semantics

I've been thinking .... if Lorenzo doesn't end up winning on the Ducati, it's going to be a serious, near-lethal blow to Ducati. JLo is obviously an exceptional talent, but the Ducati obviously isn't a good fit for him.

The bigger picture here is that Ducati will have had two major talents trying to win on their bike and neither one of them will have been able to do anything. I wouldn't be surprised to see a complete reshuffling of Ducati staff, engineers, management, etc for everything related to their MotoGP efforts should Lorenzo not bring home a championship or at LEAST a handful of wins in a season prior to the end of his contract.
