Well this makes me feel inadequate . . . I wish I could say the same about my riding.

MM93:

"I hope that in the future I will be feeling better with the bike and then even be faster.

"But we're trying to understand this kind of feeling, what I have on the bike. For some reason, I don't understand why I'm fast."

Props to Vale for entertaining the idea of running his own GP team when (if?) he retires. Dorna will do ANYTHING to keep him in the paddock. That would be pretty cool.

Rossi's team guaranteed MotoGP grid slot, says Ezpeleta

Woo-hoo. Lorenzo coming in fourth for FP2. Better keep it up because he's been a let down for the first three rounds. He is attributing the improvement to rear brake use.

MotoGP News - MotoGP Spain: Rear brake helping Lorenzo tame Ducati

Jorge Lorenzo is reaping the benefits of using the rear brake on the Ducati as the Spanish rider set the fourth fastest time at Jerez on Friday.

Lorenzo didn't avail of the rear brake in the past on the Yamaha but feels it is necessary on the Desmosedici GP17, partly to help ease the physicality required in hard braking areas and improve stability.

“I started using the rear brake already in Qatar but because it was new and I wasn't used to it, I didn't use it enough times in most of the races. Now I'm using it more and this helps a little bit more to stop the bike and to enter the corner more fluent and a little less physical too,” Lorenzo said.

“The other bikes, I didn't need to use a rear brake to stop the bike. With this one, I introduced it because it helps much more to stop the bike and it doesn't force so much the arms. It compensate a little bit more in the transfer and you don't have to use so much the arms.”

It's good to see Lorenzo pushing close to the top.

For one, it'll make the race more interesting as Lorenzo could chop things up at the front.
And second, it'll be nice to know that he doesn't have "Ducati" to blame for it anymore

Good to see KTM (pol) in the top 10, even if it just FP. From what I understand, changing engines from screamer to big bang improves traction out of corners at but gives up a bit of overall power.

Free practice sessions have been nicely intertaining.

Ktm doing well, seeing the aprilia aero in action, Lorenzo doing well again.

Maverick struggling.. Q2 about to start.

This video was cool. Notice Dani is running brake caliper covers and no one else is? This keeps the calipers warmer (I believe) because he is that much lighter than the other riders and he doesn't generate as much brake heat.

MotoGP?

Never ride faster than you can stop
