Onboard video of Pedrosa's pole lap, with telemetry. Notice how soon he's at full throttle! He starts feeding it in smoothly at the apex and is at full throttle in corner exit while still leaned over quite a lot.

Cal is good, but he seems to think he's BETTER than some other factory riders at the moment. I think he's a bit delusional.

MotoGP News - MotoGP: Some factory riders on performance contracts?

Quote:
"At the moment, I haven't signed a contract," said Crutchlow of 2018. "People think I will stay in LCR, but there are a lot of riders that are not doing very good jobs at the moment, that are on performance-clause contracts with the teams.

"I already know what I've been offered and what could happen to some riders..."

The rides you are talking about are in factory teams?

"All factory teams," Crutchlow replied. "Why would I look to anything else? I already basically have a factory bike at a satellite team."
----------------------------------

Remember when Cal was complaining that he wasn't getting support from Honda and new parts to test . . . well now he's complaining that Honda is giving him prototype parts to test

Autosport: Crutchlow-wasting-time-trying-honda-parts

Quote:
"We are wasting time testing things for Honda at the moment, in my own sessions," he said.

"It's very good for testing for Honda and very good for the team and me to be given the job, but it's hard work.

"The team have been working very hard, and it's been tiresome.

"Long nights for the guys in the garage, and we haven't worked so much on the set-up. But we're very happy to do it.

Cal is grumpy. He's like Oscar the Grouch.

That was awesome. I hope that little guy can get his groove back, get a championship, and retire.

Woooah zarco! Get the f outta the way.

Great race! Exactly what dani has been missing!
He needs to continue like this for the rest of the season.

Now that's a finishing order that makes me happy... well done Dani, great ride. Top rides from Marc, Jorge and Zarco as well for different reasons.

Congrats to Dani and MM. Finally! a podium for JL on the Ducati.

It was noticeable in this round that he was comfortable on that Ducati and changed his riding style to suit its strengths, something I sincerely thought JL would be unable to do. Boo-ya!

What a beast of a moto3 round too!

Good job to little Marquez for his first win in Moto 2! About time!

Zarco was on fire at the beginning of the race! That was awesome how he got past like 6 people (world champions too!) in like 2 laps! Used up his tires though and didn't stick to the podium unfortunately. Would've liked to see him finish 3rd instead of Lorenzo but oh well.

Pedrosa tends to do pretty well at Jerez, as does Lorenzo, but it's interesting to see that last year it was the Yamahas at the front, and now the Yamaha's were nowhere, and the Hondas were way at the front. Rossi was pretty disappointing. He was way off pace for whatever reason...must've just been an off day for him. Pretty much exactly how I felt yesterday at the track, so I guess if even a world champion has a day like this, it makes me feel less "out of place" lol

I'm really happy for Dani. The win couldn't have happened to a better dude.

Zarco is on fire ... that dude is like the fuckin' catalina wine mixer. Watching him may be my favorite part of this season so far. Couldn't happen to a better dude.

Let's not forget about Dovi. Dude busted his ass to get up to a top five finish from 14th. Couldn't have happened to a better dude.

JL definitely earned that third spot. Good for him! ............................

No idea what happened to the factory Yamaha's. Couldn't have happened to better dudes

Also ..... 21 points between the championship leader and fifth place.

I hope it stays this close all season

Also ..... does anyone know what the story is with riders not 'allowed' to say anything negative about the tires? Vinales has specifically come out and mentioned that he can't say anything bad about Michelin.
