Starting to think now that they're stealing their own bikes...meaning BSB teams are stealing other BSB teams' bikes lol.

In other news, not sure if you guys saw, but John Hopkins' R1 that he raced this year in BSB is for sale for 47k pounds (can't figure out how to do the pound symbol on here lol). That's of course if it doesn't get nicked first!

Honestly I think its just Birmingham... if I remember correctly that's where WD-40 bikes were nicked/stolen as well. I'm going to say thieves target the show...

Coincidentally it's also the same Milwaukee Yamaha bike Josh Brookes won the 2015 title on... yeah I already smashed my piggy bank... came up short lol

Yeah I saw that in the ad/article. Surprised to see it was the same bike...but hey...I guess why not? It was a winner and 2016 didn't have any changes to my knowledge aside from a fix with the transmission recall problem.

So I'm confused now...are you in Canada or UK??

I'm sure the thieves would have no trouble offloading these bikes, I'm sure I could make room to display one in my man-cave

I am currently in the UK, in a small city about 30 mins outside of Birmingham but I do live in Canada as well, basically for the summer. It works out great as I avoid those Canadian winters and make it back in time for their track season to start... Luckily the season here starts in February, actually it doesn't really end here cause for about the same price as two days at COTA you can go to Spain or Portugal for track days in December or January.

So to answer your question technically the correct answer would be both. And to further confuse you I was born and raised in America Lol

How convenient. Makes me jealous

Do you happen to know if bikes are rented out there for track days? I've been wanting to go to any European track since my wife insists on our next trip including a track day.

Yes there are few companies that provide hire bikes for track days.

This is one of the organizations I was looking at, they have a few companies listed on their site that they work with. Check out the schedule maybe you can make one of the dates work. There are a couple others that specialize in Euro track days but I'm not to familiar with them and not really sure of their hire bike policy. A lot of these packages include bike transport from the UK if you choose a UK organization, so that had me weighting the option of shipping my bike over vs renting, but that really depends on how many track days you plan to do.

Sooo....triple citizenship then??

That's a pretty good setup. I would hate to be in Canada in the winter, so summers there and the rest in the UK is a pretty damn good setup. Although I feel like I would enjoy the UK tracks more than the canadian ones...at least from what I've seen in videos and on TV

I know there are some that do package deals that are more focused towards tourists. A friend of mine was really looking into it to plan a future vacation and you basically pay a certain amount and you get like 3-4 track days included at tracks in Portugal, Spain, or Italy and also hotel for those nights. It wasn't even that expensive all things considered. I think one that he was looking at was like 3 days at Portimao with hotel for under $800. I recall seeing that pretty much everything was way cheaper than COTA except for Mugello. That one was pretty pricey.
