I hope Toni Elias takes it this year. IMO he exceeded expectations last year and challenged the field's abilities. The new GSXR should have that extra oomph needed as long as they have enough data for best setup.

Agreed. Elias did amazingly well on a very underpowered bike. Would love to see an American win the series but maybe that will light a fire under someones ass.

Very sad for Josh Day. I wish him all the best in his endeavours regarding concussion protocols instituted in road racing - it's long past due.

If only he had that MIPS system within his helmet. Still though sad day when such a wonderful sport has taken so much from you. I hope he finds enjoyment and peace elsewhere or maybe even does a trackday here and there.

Really stoked that they added Sonoma to the calendar. For the last couple of years (when I was still working with MA) there had been a lot of question as to why they weren't running at certain tracks. SOnoma stepped up to the plate and addressed the safety concerns and will allow racing in the rain.

Ever since I saw Mark in the paddock in 2015 in his amateur year, I could never help but wonder...how the hell could he afford to do so much racing and travel all over the country, and then last year race in MotoAmerica which is significantly more expensive?

I'm not too sure if Andy Dibrino will be racing in the 1000cc races but I know he will be in the 600 races. I think he might try some races in the superstock 1000 because I saw he picked up a R1 this offseason, if so I'll be cheering him on in superstock 600 and/or superstock 1000!

Anybody else cheering him on?

Are they still on the 09-12 zx6r models for MA or are they able to use the newer 2013-current engine?

I did see Jason Farrell asking about used engines on the zx6r facebook page the other day
