I only got to see the last half. For the first half, including the red flags, all I had was live timing, but no video. Judging from comments on FB, the problems hit everyone at some point.

Great race, Slick! Three wins, three brands! Two more to catch Ru$$ell.

Well that sucks for Cory West. Ran a hell of a race, lost out right before the line, and then apparently got disqualified for an illegal air filter...basically losing out on $20k + $5k in yamaha contingency and maybe other stuff as well.

The folks at Roebling were pulling for all you guys at the big show this weekend.

Tough luck on the old body aches. From what I've seen so far, you have a number of years at the 200 to look forward to.

Did anyone else notice when they were announcing the starting grid they made a point of saying the lone Honda in the field.
Just shows how a great handling bike accounts for nothing when it comes to a HP track.
70% of the bikes were Kawi or Yamaha. 20% Suzuki and A triumph and Duc or 2 thrown in for spice.

Yeah but that's true at any track for the pros in MotoAmerica too. A shitload of Yamahas, a few Kawasakis, couple of suzukis, and that's about it.

There were a couple of MC Agusta's too.

Also, how about that fiery crash with Dustin Apgar? I couldn't even fathom the thought of me being (literally) attached to my bike at the sprocket nonetheless, then my bike being on fire and melting to the track, then the bike being on fire on top of me ripping my toes off as its trying to kill me in an inferno...

I've heard someone once say that your bike loves you until you fall off of it then it tries to kill you. Guess that's true in this instance.

?Daytona 200: Jody Barry, Hero
Pretty awesome of Jody Barry to come to Dustin's aid. It could've been way worse. Losing two toes in your chain and sprocket can't feel too good though. Dustin Apgar is an old riding buddy of my brother law in phoenix and it isn't the first big toe he lost in a crash! He lost the big toe on his other foot in a crash while performing in a stunt show. He said they reattached a cadaver toe bone! They can't reattach any toes in this case though. It's amazing how upbeat he is since the crash. I hope he can adapt and get back to racing soon.

Nice Job on your finishes BackMarker! It must've been a blast down there. Looking forward to some pics and video!

I wonder if he had one of those shark fin chain guards on his bike and how well they really work?

He did have one installed. Not sure if it helped some or was part of the reason he became trapped. Scary. Our race org. Is requiring them starting next season.

Well if he had one and still got his toes severed, clearly it's not all that helpful
