Brands hatch first track day on my 636.

So on Thursday just gone I did my first track day on my 636. Now I've done a few track days previous to this on my 600 rr, but didn't think there'd be much difference from that bike to this.
How wrong I was... the kwak is so nimble. Turn in is instant and I don't no if it's because my weight is great for the standard suspension but I like it.
It was only a novice day so being held up around the track was always going to happen so never actually got one full lap all day where someone didn't get in my way! I now no that the novice days are not for me anymore.
I managed a 60 second lap around the Indy circuit which was ok I suppose, think I could of made it 56-60 somewhere without hold ups.
The lap record for bsb around this track is 45 seconds and though i no I'll never probably reach 50 seconds im bloody well going to try.
On the day I was running the standard s20r Bridgestone which actually held up well to be fair, but I will be replacing for a set of conti race attacks to hopefully help improve my time.
Anyway here are a few of pictures from the day for you to see!!

I'm a new fan of Brands Snatch lol, turn 1 reminds me of turn 1 of CTMP back home, I'm dying to give that place a go!

Ugh 15 mins away...I'm so far from there. I can't take credit for the Brands Snatch, I borrowed that from the guys on 44Teeth lol

Upload the vid to YouTube first and then share the link on here minus the "s" on the HTTPS web address, should work.

So did they bump you to the intermediate group?
Welcome to the addiction.
You might want to get off street tires if your going to be pushing hard.
Look forward to a video.

Wasn't able to be moved as the novice days do not run in groups! I have booked 2nd may on a general track day so will be able to run in intermediate then.
I am going to fit some Conti race attacks for the next time I track!

I would pull the headlight fuse when you tape the lights. The heat created by the lights being on will make it hard to peel even the blue painters tape. Don't ask me how I know. Plus for pictures at the track, put the blue tape on first and then cover with black duct tape. Looks better. Just a couple tips you may not have thought about. Have fun Mate.

I use low tack and hardly even sticks, but I will be pulling the lights and everything else soon when the track plastics go on. Thanks for the tip though.
