Anybody have the 4x8 folding trailer from HF?

I figured this would probably be the most likely forum to get a decent response.

Anyways .... what kind of flooring did you put down on it, and how does it affect the folding of the trailer itself?

I'm trying to convince a friend NOT to use 4 foot long 2 x 12's on each half because then it won't fold correctly.

Pics are very much welcome

I have the 5 x 8 from Tractor Supply

5 ft is simply perfect for my needs. Bike goes right in the middle and all my other stuff like tool box, coolers, canape, chairs, and gas container go around it like a glove. My buddy welded two angel irons on the front to make it an A frame so I could bolt a A fram container box to it for even more storage like tire warmers and air compressor. Fuck the mesh. Its cheap and annoying. I dropped a 4x8 piece of plywood in it and bolted it down. Will replace the sheet this year.

I have that exact trailer. I used two 4x4 sections of marine grade 3/4 plywood and it has been pretty solid. Anything thicker and it will not be able to fold.

Just the wood and if it folds all the way up.

Also borrowing any clever ideas wouldn't hurt anyone.

i dont have any pictures of it folded but i can assure you that it does. I left about a 1" gap between the two panels in the middle where it folds to allow this to happen.

The best advice that I can give is to use both loctite and lock washers when you attach the plywood. For whatever reason, I keep losing them.

I will see if I can get some pictures of it soonish.
