I Ride: 2011 Hayabusa & 2003 ZX6RR
I thought the moral of the story was to tamper with the chain so you could negotiate a significantly better price

pretty lucky..... ive seen some serious damage done to bikes and in some cases, riders

I feel like the chain tool I have is pretty easy.

It's also possible the clip was installed backwards. At this point it's hard to know.

But yes, if you can get a better price without wrecking the bike...
