Trip to the ol' grandparents' cabin through stormy weather

The black helmet is a Craigslist special, courtesy of a kind & friendly St. Paul resident. The motorcycle itself was purchased on Craigslist as well & is a 2002 model.

The old Yamaha that Dad rides on.

Empire Cycle of Long Lake, MN did the tune-ups of both rigs. They put in a new battery & adjusted the wiring on the 2002 ZX6R.

I took my bike & my dad took his bike so we all had our own rigs on this particular trip.. He is an avid biker. Dad's on a work trip in New England at the moment, incidentally.

Weather conditions on the road were dicey at times but it turned out to be a pretty good time, all things considered! I wish that the weather were good for riding all the time!

Parking at the "midway point" turned out to be a bit of a bear.

We also did a pitstop to gas up & get some snacks at the gas station in Buffalo, MN. This is also the work commuter bike for me as well, when the weather is nice enough. That is always a bit of a question here in Minnesota!

Weather at the ol' grandparents' cabin turned out to be great! It was a good, adventurous, but not too adventurous outing to go on! The day was a great success. I love summer in Minnesota!

They are showing up for me, Scorpio. Hosting courtesy of Imgur. Anyone else not seeing them?

e: switching all of the images over to PostImg instead of Imgur.

It was a bit of a new thing for us to come to the cabin by motorcycle instead of by car! Here is the whole group there at our final destination.

Gracias, Scorpi0! Yeah, it was! What a fun Saturday. Bought a new outfit at the mall as well, incidentally.

Yep! That is the view off the new deck of the cabin. At that point we were all pretty steamed out of using the sauna and doing any windsurfing as it was getting on into the evening hours.

I stand corrected. As it turns out, other peoples' bikes just aren't as interesting to me as my own bike so i don't have a deep handle on the specifics! Got new tires on the car as well, but that is a story for another day (and another forum).

God damn it... You are a selfish son of a bitch....

None of us got our invitation to spend the weekend at the lake cabin... With a deck, no less. And a sauna. And windsurfing, too. Man, Iam really pissed.

Went on another motorcycle cruise the other day. I figured it probably wouldn't be worth making another thread for it.

As you can see, I've shined up the ZX6R a bit to amp up the 'coolness factor.' That is always a must for a new motorcycle!
