wheelies in 3rd-stock gearing

ile admit im still a noob to wheelies however i can clutch it up in first and second no prob but i am just under balance point so im always chasing them out so there not very long and i end up running out of rpm. But ive been playing around with 3rd gear just for shits and giggles and at about 70 mph 10k rpm sitting down with a slight pop backwards it pulls right up smooth as hell!!! and on my 2nd try last night i did my first half mile wheelie im freakin psycked!!

oh and actually i have a question for you guys, something that i just realised the other day. Why is it that i can do better wheelies at night than during the day? the only thing that i can think of is that its just the mental perspective of it being that i get scared to bring it to high when i can see what im doing or something.....

if you going fast enough and a massive clutch it, bounce it, and pull it will come up
but you travelling at some speed mind
i think you right about night time
nothing really to see to balance yourself to so you going for it a bit more
why not try to slower them down once you up there in 2nd ? or ............ click it into 3rd while up
please cover that rear brake

Hell yea, I am about the same level as you with my wheelie skill. I am just curious the revs you are at when you are doing them in second and third. I can do them in first no problem without paying much attention to revs, but in second and third I think I get scared to let it rev too much after pulling clutch.

in first gear i pop it at around 6k rpm at roughly 30 mph or so depending on the road 2nd gear is at 8-10k rpm at about 55-60mph and in fist or second i dont bounce or anything just clutch then 3rd im runnin at least 10k rpm at about 70mph and i dont want state this wrong but i dont bounce its more or less popping my upper body backwards as i clutch it and so far its worked great. i know im at higher speeds to begin with but i feel so much more safe and to me thats all that matters is to have fun but not go past my limits if you know what i mean.

p.s i know that was a very long run-on sentence but w.e lol
