Lolll yea I already have a mechanic and I do know how to ride.....errr well sorta maybe not as well as some of you guys but I can get from point a to b to c to d and etc... Iv had the bike for about 2 weeks now. First week the bike sat at the shop getting inspected and etc...Once I was free from college classes and work I had my mechanic ride my bike home while I followed him in my parents mini van lol. I didnt want to take a chance riding the bike home by myself since I had 0 experience riding in traffic... I was also not sure how much power to expect from a 600 than from the 250s I rode for my MSF class. Plus all the youtube videos of people letting their friends ride their bikes for the first time and watching them crash kind of scared me.
So far I have ridden my bike a total of 4 times! Yesterday (3rd time riding) I got the bike up into the triple digits...101 to be exact. I could have kept going faster but I didnt want to push it tooo much since it was only my 3rd day after all.
Today I had the bike out and was averaging about 75mph on the expressways also managed to get the bike to 105mph at one point.
I seriously feel like theres always that one car on the roads thats trying to race me :X. And I feel more comfortable at speeds of 70+ for some reason on the bike. Any of you guys feel the same way?
It's just way to easy to speed on these things...what the hell am I gonna tell the cop if I get pulled over :X

and i still dont know how it happened. | The only other rider of my bike was hurrican Irene. She took it for a stroll down the street. Caused 3500.00 worth of damage to her. Unfortunately for me I was out of town when the hurricane hit so wasn't able to button up the bike. Guess the cover acted like a sail. I broke down the details a little more in my newb post. eitherway sucks and sorry your bike got damaged. Sounds to me like you actually had more damage than mine yet your estimate is way lower than mine. All my damage was plastics. Oh, funniest part was the insurance adjuster thought the radiator was bent...lol. I told him they were made like that and he didn't believe me until he pulled a pic up on his computer.

a friend had a mid range running problem with his bike so we swapped bikes on the way home and i demolished his suzuki, it wasn't my fault as i hit a wild animal but i did the right thing and gave him my zx7r.... he is well happy with the 7r and he is now converted to kawasaki |
