So I've been doing a lot of reading and watching youtube videos on, yep you guessed it, wheelies. I've been practicing wheelies with the clutch in first gear and am starting to get them down. What I'm wondering is after I get more practice, confidence, and more comfortable with wheelies in first gear, what do I do next? What do I move up to? What should be next in line to practice?

Thanks for the advice. And what about wheelies in other gears? How would I go about doing that (if I even should!) ?
Gear, RPM, etc...

2nd gear, 6-8k rpm's. Work on that balance point though. If you really wanna rock some gnarly wheelies its pretty key point to it.

learning balance point,, i would go for it in 2nd or even 3rd.. there is more forgivness.. but try in corporating your rear break now. cause when you start getting to balance point your gonna need it. so you can keep it at balance and not gain speed.

Power it up in third unless ur working on slow wheelies. U keep using ur clutch ur gonna have mechanical issues! Either way good luck.

Gear, RPM, etc... | the best gearing i have found for the 09+ is -1+2 or even +3... i can clutch up in 3rd at about 8k and still is very streetable.. once you do it though you can stay out of first gear wheelies,, 2nd and 3rd are very easy to get to balance. if you dont do alot of twisties you can even flip your clip ons.. it made a big difference on sit downs and standups both.. and its really quite comfy just cruisn. and yes clutching is harder on your clutch.. but hell ive been doing it on mine for 6 months and its still going strong. and ive got 22k miles on the bike, with the stock clutch.
