How do stunters keep their bike going at a constant speed? I know a lot of local guys bought things like the Cramp Buster, which is intended to relax your hand by resting your wrist on it to use the throttle, but using it by turning the throttle to desired speed and rotated it forward to rest on the brake level so that when the throttle tries to roll back it wont, and then they either lightly push their brake level forward to roll it off or quickly twist it back. Not really safe...then again YOU'RE stunting lol. I bought a cramp buster too, but no matter what position I put it in (near the inside edge of the grip which is awkward to ride) it won't fall back onto the brake lever even if adjusted to the closest setting. So what gives..waste of $10 on that, and here I am wondering how stunters do this? Thanks

if you tighten the throttle cables in a certain way (I believe the decel cable has to be tighter) then you end up with a throttle that has no return tension, you have to return the throttle to the closed position manually. Found this out when adjusting the slop out of my throttle lol. Maybe this is what they do? A "Set it and forget it" sorta deal.

I never messed with the throttle on a motorcycle so I'm not sure what you're talking about on which part to tighten and take apart. Thanks Quote:

Anyways looks like my cheapest way of doing this is somehow extending the cramp buster or putting something thick on the part where I want the cramp buster to reach.
Are there aftermarket brake levels that are closer to the throttle? That's probably not a cheap option, but just exploring my options here.

Is using the 'choke' not an option or does it not raise the revs enough?

I up my idle at the track sometimes so it doesn't dive out so fast when I get off the throttle.
