so i was able to pic up a lot peice lastnight,, picking it up today. its a frankenstein but hey its a gsxr,, why not let it get trashed instead of my zx hahaha.. picked it up for 750 bucks.. it needs some tlc but thats fine by me. it currently doesnt run. it did and it just quit one day.. im pretty sure its gonna be a simple fix. its a 97 body with an 03 750 motor.... anyways im pretty stoked about it. |

not like any one cares,, but i got the bike to my house lastnight after racking my brain all day as to what the problem could be with this thing,, after all it has set for two years after not wanting to crank one morning.. so last night i got down to the battery hooked a charger to it and nothing.. all i would get is the flashes of the guages.. so hmmmmm why not just use good old trusty out of my zx lol.. got it hooked up in the gsxr turn the key and everything came to life.. the fan, guages, fuel pump,, well that was one hell of a start but still didnt solve the problem i thought,,, hmmm what if i just try to crank it... so i did, and it spit once then fired right up.. oohhh ima happy camper. but now i just have this itch that the battery is not what caused this no starting problem.. what if its another issue and i just got lucky this time.

Doubt it was pure luck and a 1 time deal. I bet something killed his battery... And that's the problem. On the OTHER hand.... could be an old timer battery, and u got lucky as hell with a running bike, no problems, and a bad battery. Either way.... Not too shabby bud!

Now we shall call u a squid again....lol that looks like an 02 gsxr 600? Am I close and I must agree that smashing that would be way cooler than that sexy beast of urs. I would also look into ferrying the oil pan extender that goes into the oil pan. It will help keep the oil flowing while doing those monster wheelies for long distances.

yeah im still gonna go through it and just double check all the connections to be sure. the guy said that it was haveing trouble starting and not running so hot the day before it quit.. witch that is a sign of bad battery. it happend to a friend of mine on his f4i.. replaced the battery and bam, good as new... well there is another reason it was so cheap.. it doesnt have a title persay.. its got a california salvaged certificate.. whatever the hell that is,, any of you cali boys know anything bout that?
